Minaret Academy truly is my second home. This school has taught me what being a true Muslim, inside and out, means and have helped me become confident and aware of Muslim’s in todays society. Additionally, I am so thankful to the Minaret faculty and staff who I’ve known ever since I was 4 years old, for always encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone. I will forever continue to use the skills I’ve learned at Minaret through my life and use these skills to grow in school, life, and in my faith.

"This past academic school year has been one I will never forget. The teachers and students have grown so close to me and I will never forget them. I have become so close to all my fellow classmates and we all share a special bond. We have laughed together, learned, and had fun together. We went through good times and bad times, but we got through them all. This past year we had all been confused about ourselves, who we were, and who we wanted to be. Our teacher Mr. Sobh had told us that these were important years of our lives and they would contribute to who we would be for the rest of our lives. Mr. Sobh along with all our amazing teachers had inspired us to do amazing things this year and we all grew and changed. I can confidently say that we have all become better people than we were on our first day of sixth grade. A lot of us had accomplished and changed in ways that we never imagined we could. We made outstanding academic achievements and learned so much. So, in conclusion I would like to say that this year is one we all will remember because we learned and grew together in the best way possible."

"I've been at Minaret Academy for 6 years and honestly speaking, they have probably been the most memorable 6 years of my life. Minaret has been my second home, and the teachers and staff are like my family. I feel that I can be myself around the school. Out of all the years in Minaret, I think 6th grade was the best. Not only because of the projects, but also because of the lessons I've learned and the new people I've met. Let's go back in time to my favorite and happiest Minaret memory. I remember a few nights ago, at our graduation party, someone told all of us that you can't leave Minaret. It's a part of you. It's made you who you are today, and most importantly, it's made you a better Muslim. If I were to leave Minaret, I'd be the saddest person in the world. And if I were to stay, I'd be the happiest. I never realized how grateful I should be going to a great Islamic school like this. The friends and memories I've made I'll never forget. Years and years have passed, and I wish I could turn back time to first grade where it all started. I'm not sure if I should feel sad that I'm graduating, or happy. I think I'm a little bit of both though. To end my speech, I will say a few words. Sometimes some students would get that odd feeling of going out into the world and going to a new school. But I'm telling you this now...other schools may come and go, but Minaret will stay with you forever. Thank you!"

"My name is Aliza Ghandhi. I have been in Minaret for 10 years. Well this is my 10th year. I have been here from pre-school till now. Minaret is my 2nd home. Minaret has thought me so much.When I first left Minaret I thought I was prepared but I wasn't. I miss the caring and understanding teachers and my friends.When I came back it one of the best days ever. I'd like to thank family, friends and parents for coming. I would also like to thank you parents for helping us throughout the year. It wouldn't be possible without you. I would also like to thank you Mrs. Husain, teachers, and staff. It was a true honor and privilege to be given the opportunity to present there. As I have mentioned, I am not a religious person, but I have often thought of that experience. I was truly moved."
