My name is Mrs. Manar Tarzi and I am an Arabic teacher and instructional materials developer. I have a Bachelor's degree in Arabic Literature and I have been teaching at Minaret Academy for five years. I teach KG, first, second, fifth, sixth, and seventh grade. My teaching philosophy is "as long as you capture the student's heart you can reach his mind."

I am Mrs. Basima Naji. I have been a dedicated teacher for over nineteen years. This is my seventh year teaching at Minaret Academy. My goal in teaching is to develop, in each child, the love and understanding of Allah as well as nurturing their identity. I completed my degree in Associates of Applied Science from Johnston County College in Kansas. I have done my Childhood Education degree and Occupational Certificate Associate of Teaching. I enjoy being a mother of two grown up kids and a grandmother of four children.

I am Mrs. Ghazala Murshedi. My passion in life is to teach! I have been a Montessori teacher for 35 years. I love and enjoy working with children, and I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Literature. I completed my AMI Montessori Training and then completed my Hornsby Diploma course for teaching Dyslexic children. I have been working at Minaret Academy for eight years now.

I'm Mrs. Noura Hajjar and I'm a proud 3rd grade teacher. I have taught 3rd grade for four years at Minaret Academy. My hobbies include reading, scrap booking, and traveling. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine and earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. Also, I received a multiple subject credential and a Master's degree in teaching from UCI. I believe that each child is an individual, has his/her unique personality, and varies in levels of learning. Therefore, children have to be taught according to their learning styles in order for them to reach their full potential.  I ensure student learning by tailoring instruction to their needs and interests.  I created a curriculum that is designed to motivate and inspire all students.  I provide a challenging educational experience that is rich, student-centered, and fun. I believe that it is important to establish a caring and positive environment where students are able to build their self-esteem and respect for one another.

Mr. Ershad Khan has been an elementary and middle school educator for 15 years. Mr. Khan has been the Science Fair Coordinator at Minaret Academy for past three years. He is passionate about making the learning process engaging and challenging for students. He implements real-life oriented, project-based learning as an integral tool of his pedagogy.

I am Mrs. Maha Jazaeri and I am a teacher, a mother, and a cooking and nature enthusiast! I am a certified AMS Montessori Teacher and have been teaching kids to love learning for the past twenty three years. I'm Originally from Syria and was born in Kuwait. I earned a BS in Behavioral Science from National University in San Diego. I believe each child embodies a unique and wonderful spirit.  My aspiration is to see children grow into adults who are independent, responsible, and compassionate innovators.  While in the garden with my students, I try to remember that what we are really growing… is them.

My name is Mrs. Urusa Basith and I am Montessori Trained Teacher and have been working at Minaret Academy since 2007 in the Yellow Room .I enjoy working with young children as I am passionate about them .I am married and have two wonderful children. I have a Master's Degree in Political Science from India and Montessori Diploma from USA.


My name is Mrs. Nabeela Khair. I have over 15 years of experience as a teacher and have taught first, second and third grade. I received my Elementary Montessori Training Certification in Sri Lanka, my country of origin. I have also pursued early childhood education and administration at Fullerton College in California. My passion is teaching, inspiring and challenging children to love learning. I am a lifelong learner myself.  My instruction is individualized using differentiation strategies. I'm Mrs. Amena Shafi and I’m a wife, mother of three, and a grandmother of three adorable children. I have been teaching 1st grade for four years.
