Thursday, July 16, 2009 Mad Scientists wowed students by experimenting with sugar. All enjoyed learning the process of making cotton candy. Level one students had a blast exploring their 5 senses.     
Inside the classroom for Week Three and Four: Theme of the Week: Pillars of Islam, Prayer Dua of the Week: Before and After eating and Dua for when you are scared Level One Surahs: Al-Fatiha, Al-Nas, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Qawthar Level Two: Completion of memorization of Ayat Al Kursi Level Three: Ayat 8 - 13 from Surah Al Tarik (Memorization & Tafser) Level One Arabic: Masculine/Feminine ,Alphabet, numbers, colors and days of the week. Stories and songs about land animals and ocean creatures. Level two Arabic: Distinguishing between long and short sounds of each letter. Identifying the different sounds in similar letters. Writing and connecting letters Level three Arabic: Conversational and new vocabulary concentrating on 2 letters a day.
 
Islamic Studies: Pillars of Islam Hadiths surrounding Cheating, Choosing Friends,and Sawm for Ramadan. Stories of Prophet Isa (as) Sujood ush shukr Al Tashhud & Alsalah Al Ibrahimieh
