OFFICE ASSISTANT

Position reports directly to the Principal.  The responsibilities for the Office Assistant include, but are not limited the following tasks:

Personnel:

- Prepare job postings and applicant files.

- Maintain complete and accurate personnel files for all employees.

- Ensure the confidentiality of all files.

- Provide information regarding requirements for employees (e.g., fingerprinting, fees, background investigation, etc.).

- Maintain sign-out sheet of all items which are checked out by personnel including keys, teacher’s editions, technology, resources, etc.

- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating office personnel.


Payroll, Purchasing, & Finances:

- Maintain a record of staff development hours.
- Maintain records of sick leave, personal leave, and substitute employees.
- Responsible for the receipt and ordering of school supplies and classroom material
- Maintains accurate inventory of supplies and material
- Prepares monthly requisition of school supplies and material.
- Reviews general vendor accounts on a regular basis
- Maintains vendor files.


General Maintenance & Tasks:

- Monitor and arrange for equipment maintenance, when necessary.
- Maintain the custodial, maintenance and facility operations of the school.
- Photograph school events and activities for social media & marketing purposes.
- Update Minaret Academy’s Facebook page several times a week with updates, photo posts, special events, etc.
- Update the school website (events, photo gallery, calendar, faculty info, etc).
- Create a monthly email-newsletter (PDF format) that covers the school’s activities, past events, field trips, upcoming events and activities, etc).
- Maintain front office bulletin board with school events in a fun and creative manner.

Policy & Procedure:

- Maintain Employee Handbook for revisions approved by the Board.
- Maintain and update school website and all marketing material and school publications.
- Support all school board committees for school events
- Prepare and distribute policy and procedures authorized by the Principal
- Responsible for incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail, notices, memoranda, directives, etc.
- Update office procedures, as necessary.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and training programs.
- Participate in professional growth activities, when requested.
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the Principal.

CERTIFIED MONTESSORI TEACHER

Minaret Academy is looking for a full time Certified Montessori Teacher.  
As a Montessori Teacher, you will understand the importance of a caring, attentive, and qualified Montessori educator who will teach and guide in a nurturing environment, consistent with Minaret Academy's high standards and expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for candidates who are as passionate about the growth and development of the precious children in our care as we are. You should possess: 

  • Montessori Certification

  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility

  • Bachelor's degree, AMS/AMI accredited training certificate

  • Impeccable references and a proven track record of caring for and nurturing children

  • The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience

  • Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work

ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHING POSITIONS

Minaret Academy, an Islamic school in Anaheim, is seeking full-time Elementary and Middle School Teachers.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design and implement curriculum and activities to meet the school’s academic standards 

  • Design, implement, and use informal and formal assessments to measure progress of students.

  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a data-driven, learner-centered, friendly and safe environment demonstrating shared responsibility and high expectations for team achievement. 

  • Adhere to and support all school policies to enforce school core values, high expectations, and strict code of conduct.

  • Set and attain ambitious student achievement and social-emotional benchmarks.

  • Model and encourage appropriate student behavior (i.e. grit, self-control, social intelligence, optimism and curiosity).

  • Work with school team to constantly evaluate and improve mastery of instructional, culture building, and leadership skills.

  • Maintain a classroom that demonstrates discipline, order and rigor.

  • Participate in curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions.

  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. 

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external interactions.

  • Communicate with students, families and other audiences about student progress 

  • Participate in curricular and extra-curricular programs, student supervision, meetings and on-going professional development 

  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Principal.


QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Possess a valid California Teaching Credential

  • 1-3 years of teaching experience in an urban setting

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution required. Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Flexible to changing priorities and conditions.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
