Hawa Dadabhoy

Kindergarten
 
Mrs. Dadabhoy has been teaching at Minaret Academy for three years. She was born in India and her family moved to London, England in 1964
 when she was 4 years old and resided there until she moved to California in 1979. She started her career in teaching very early--volunteering at an elementary school during her last year in high school in London England. Upon graduating from High school she completed a course in Pre-school teaching in 1979.

Mrs. Dadabhoy holds a Clear Site Supervisor Credential in Early Childhood Education from the California Department of Teacher Credentialing. She also received Level 1 and level 2 certificates in Early Childhood Education from Mount San Antonio College, Walnut CA. She has been working with children for over 30 years. In classrooms and in administration. She has worked for Islamic and non- Islamic Schools.
 Islamic Center of Claremont Community School, Institute of Knowledge. California Charter Academy,
and has taught Kindergarten, first, second and third grade. She has also served as an Assistant Principal at the Charter School

Each day Mrs. Dadabhoy strives to provide a safe, nurturing environment for her students. One that honors children and their families and promotes the love of learning in their little hearts. She loves to see children do the things they thought they could not do before. Kindergarten is truly a room where children bloom.

In her free time when she is not at school, Mrs. Dadabhoy enjoys spending time with her family--especially her two grandsons. She enjoys reading books and gardening as well as listening to Islamic lectures.

Zarin Qudosi

1st Grade

Mrs. Qudosi is a veteran teacher with 30 years of experience. Receiving her Bachelors in Pakistan at P.E.C.H.S, she further pursued Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Qudosi delights in having had the opportunity to teach in multiple countries, which allowed her to train in different methods of education. From 1974-1984, she taught in Springefield School in Karachi, Pakistan. Following her time in Pakistan, Mrs. Qudosi lived in Germany, where she spent two years volunteering as a teacher's aide. Relocating to the states several years later, she dedicated a decade teaching at Orange Crescent School. Prior to joining Minaret Academy, Mrs. Qudosi served as a highly praised teacher at Fairmont Private School. With considerable experience and esteem, she joined Minaret Academy in its fledgling days and is proud to see it stretch and grow to such a valuable resource to our children.   
 
Mrs. Qudosi is multilingual, fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, Farsi and German. Her hobbies include cooking, reading, listening to music, gardening and traveling. Her motto is "enjoy life and live it to the fullest". She also encourages her students to be kind, gentle, considerate and appreciative of other things. Mrs. Qudosi is a strong believer in identifying a child's strengths and using positive reinforcement to help them achieve their full potential.

 

 

Noor Nabeela Khair

2rd Grade

Mrs. Khair is currently the second grade teacher at Minaret Academy. She have been teaching in California for over ten years and a few more years back in Sri Lanka, her country of origin. She started her teaching career at Amaanah Montessori School and has taught pre-kindergarten, first and second grade for several years. She has also worked at New Dimensions as a second grade teacher for two years and as a substitute.

Mrs. Khair has chosen teaching as a profession because she is inspired by the ability of children to learn; she also enjoys exploring the wonders of Allah's creations with them. Her hobbies include making crafts, flower arrangement, reading and traveling. As a teacher, her aspirations for her students twenty years from now would be that they become responsible, well informed citizens of this country and ambassadors of Islam.

 

 

Ladan Rashidi

Nabiha Chaballout

Arabic/Qur'an

Mrs. Chaballout was born in Aleppo, Syria. She studied Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in Syria and also studied child development in California. She has been teaching Arabic and the Qur'an for more than 15 years and feels that it is important to learn Arabic to be able to read and understand the Qur'an.

She has three children--two boys and one girl. Her eldest son has just graduated from a University. Her daughter is currently enrolled in a university program and her youngest child is in the eighth grade. She enjoys spending time with friends and family at the beach. Inshallah, the children are benefiting from what she teaches them and Allah accepts her work.

 

 

Abier Shukairy

Arabic/Qur'an

Mrs. Shukairy was born in Damascus, Syria and moved to the United States in 1988. She completed her Associates degree in French Literature from the University of Damascus. She began her career in teaching 16 years ago, first offered a job to teach a Weekend School in Orange County. She enjoyed it very much and decided to pursue Teaching by attending Orange Coast College and Acquiring a Certificate as a Teacher's Aide for Pre-School and Elementary Level.

Mrs. Shukairy volunteered in Public Schools to build a positive image of Islam. She prefers to work in Islamic Schools because of the environment and being able to relate every subject to our creator Allah (SWT). This is her second year at Minaret Academy.

Mrs. Shukairy enjoys teaching Quran and the Arabic language and is the proud mother of 5 children--2 boys and 3 girls. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with my family and cooking.

 

 

Bouthina Rachidi Sairafe

Preschool Arabic/Qur'an

Mrs. Sairafe is the mother of three kids and began teaching Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Quran sixteen years ago at weekend schools. She has worked for the Lake Forest daily school, Al-Nada, Mission Viejo Sunday school, Straight way school, and New Horizon Elementary school. She really enjoys teaching and seeing her students grow in knowledge. Her goal in teaching is to have the children love their religion and language.

She enjoys teaching Arabic and Quran to the preschool class here at the Minerat Academy and looks forward to seeing the children grow into successful students.
