Mumtaz Saleh
Head Montessori Teacher Mrs. Saleh (Sister Mumtaz) is originally from Sri Lanka, the tiny island "pearl" of the Indian Ocean, but has been living in California since 1986. Her education was from Good Shepherd Convent, Colombo and Trinity College of Music, London. She received both her Associate and Licentiate degrees from London; and her center for English Language Arts in Colombo.
Mrs. Saleh is very happily the mother of 2 beautiful daughters who's formative years of education was in Huntington Beach, California. MashaAllah, they both have a solid foundation of Islamic knowledge and values. Their conduct and faith surpasses her expectations, Alhamdulillah. Mrs. Saleh has an undeniable passion for education, and is fascinated with the science of education. Her mainstream belief with the Montessori Method of Education has led her to the USA and given her success and experiences that are rewarding. She holds a Montessori Diploma for AMI (USA), and a certified Teacher Trainer Diploma for IAPM (USA). She has had the opportunity to establish many Montessori schools in Orange County, California. Mrs. Saleh also has ten years experience as a Montessori teacher educator, and director, supervising teacher trainees and instructing, and over 20 years of experience in classrooms as an Educator. Maha JazaeriMontessori Teacher Mrs. Jazaeri was born and raised in Kuwait until she was 18, then relocated to Damascus, Syria. She attended the University of Damascus for 2 years majoring in Biology, then got married which resulted in her leaving the Bio program at UofD. She moved to the U.S. in 1989, and returned to school and finished her B.S. in Behavioral Science from National University San Diego in 1998. She was a traditional teacher for 14 years until she discovered the Montessori Method which fascinated her. She trained at Monarch Bay Montessori, which is accredited by AMS and received her Montessori certificate from there. This is her 4th year as a Montessori teacher and she looks forward to many years to come, inshaAllah.
Mrs. Jazaeri is the mother of three children. They currently reside in Irvine. Some of her hobbies include cooking for her family, art, and various forms of exercise. She also likes to spend time with her (direct) family, parents and siblings. Ghazala MurdshediMontessori Teacher Nada Dabbous
Montessori Teacher Urusa BasithTeacher Assistant Mrs. Basith was born and raised in India then moved to USA in 1995. She brought with her to the Minaret Academy 13 years of Pre-School Teaching experience from schools in India and California. She completed her Post graduate degree in Political Science in India and has obtained 19 units in Early Childhood Education. She also holds a certificate as a Medical Assistant.
Mrs. Basith is the proud mother of two children and enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family. She is pleased to be working at the Minaret Academy for a third year.
